All I see here is marketing pushing amateur radio. There is nothing showing how it can be used to make patrols and troops stronger. That is sad, because I can make a long list of those things.

Sorry to be blunt, but this is a “buy my stuff” preso. We need to do a lot better. Start with the needs of the troop and work back to amateur radio. This is starting with the needs of amateur radio and working towards the troop.

    I’m pretty sure I have laid this out before.
    
    This is marketing 101. Stop thinking “buy our stuff” and starting thinking about value for the customer.
    
    How does amateur radio make the patrol and troop stronger? How does it build character, citizenship, and fitness for the individual Scout?
    
    Start making a list. If there is nothing on that list, then we should not be doing amateur radio in Scouting.

        It was about a year ago, in a comment on this site.
        
        But make your own list first. You’ll have different ideas and you should get those down before you read mine.
