We’ve added a new section to the website where we record the history of local camp stations. The first entry came from a conversation at the Dayton Hamvention® about W8OSR and the Owasippe Scout Reservation.
Dennis Mitchell, WA9IVU, provided a superb story of the development of the W8OSR station in Michigan to support summer camp activities including the Radio Merit Badge. We encourage you to read it and consider providing your own story.
These stories should also serve as a resource in discussions with other councils about what’s possible and what’s already been done to support Radio Scouting and STEM initiatives.
