We’ve just uploaded a Radio Scouting Presentation for use with Scouting audiences that have little familiarity with amateur radio or with Radio Scouting activities. It includes a Power Point presentation and a supporting video. Hope you can put it to use in communicating with your council or unit.
This is exactly what I was looking for, but the link seems to just lead directly to this page. Please provide more info on obtaining the presentation!
I’m interested in this because we traditionally use amateur radio to coordinate between distant mountain peaks (typically, up to 100 miles line of sight with 2M hand transceivers) for the Scouting event Operation On-Target (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_On-Target ), but some troops don’t have any members or leaders with a license.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I’ve corrected the link. You can find Radio Scouting presentations for amateur radio and Scouting audiences on this page http://k2bsa.wstearns.com/radio-scouting-presentations/
Good luck and have fun with Operation On-Target.

Thanks!
I reviewed your presentations. Thanks for helping get the Morse interpreter strip and the amateur radio operator rating strip through!
Those recognition items will help us get more scouts/scout leaders to proceed on to their license, and learn Morse Code.
Operation On-Target is a perfect opportunity for Scouts to put their Morse skills to use. They can move beyond simple mirror flashing contact to full duplex Morse heliograph communication! ( The flashing in this video is random – but it doesn’t have to be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yid_j6db6gU )
( A simple, inexpensive heliograph design for Scouts is on pp. 27-29 of the retired Signaling Merit Badge book: http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/Signaling_MBP_Historical.pdf )
