K2BSA/6 – Jamboree On The Air 2026 – Palmdale, CA

I’m an ASM for Troop 164 (Antelope Valley District) and a Radio MB counselor. I host a JOTA station every year for the Troops in the Mohave Desert. This year, one of our local club (Antelope Valley Amateur Radio Club) members, Brian (N6CO), will be launching a pico balloon during the JOTA event.

Additionally, I’ll be hosting a fox hunt for the Scouts who visit and will be doing a tape measure yagi antenna building demonstrations.

I’d like to request two callsigns. One for use with the HF/VHF/UHF SSB and FM phone station, and one for the pico balloon.

I haven’t secured an event location, yet. It’s usually at a local park or our Troop’s charter organization which is the Antelope Valley Church. The address below is my personal home QTH which will be within a few miles of the JOTA event.

I’m not currently a member of K2BSA ARA but will be looking into it as soon as I click “Submit.”
